EA, the European co-operation for Accreditation, and EEPCA sign an Agreement

On November 19th at the General Assembly of EA in The Hague, during an official signing ceremony Thomas FACKLAM, President of EA and Pierre de Ruvo, General Secretary of EEPCA have signed an Agreement entitling EEPCA to become a Recognized Stakeholder of EA.

EA the “European co-operation for Accreditation” – which is the Association of nationally recognised Accreditation Bodies of the Member States of the European Union (EU) and of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and EEPCA have signed an Agreement by which EEPCA has been recognised by EA as a Recognized Stakeholder.


The status of Recognized Stakeholder will entitle EEPCA to:

  • attend meetings of the EA General Assembly
  • participate in the work of Technical Committees, Working Groups and Task Forces of EA
  • be granted with appropriate level of access to the EA Intranet



By this Recognised Stakeholder Agreement, EEPCA will have the opportunity to:

  •  contribute to the development of EA documentation, providing inputs and comments, although not being entitled to vote on their approval.
  • arrange joint cultural/educational initiatives, such as conferences, seminars, workshops, training courses and other pertinent activities.
