Dr.-Ing. Michael KAPPELAN and Dipl.-Ing. Wolfgang MARTIN have respectively been appointed President and Vice-President for three years by the General Assembly of ETICS on nomination by the Board of directors.

ETICS, the European Testing, Inspection and Certification System is a not-for-profit international association established in Brussels which administrates ENEC, the European flagship conformity assessment systems for third party compliance of consumer products in the electrotechnical sector, and also in other areas that are associated with inspection, testing and product certification.

Its main activity, through the Member Certification Bodies based in Europe and the surrounding Region, is to establish that a product is reliable and meets the expectations in terms of safety, performance, energy efficiency, durability and other criteria.

ENEC, the European flagship conformity assessment system helps accessing the European market with a single mark that removes significant delays and costs for multiple testing and approvals granting the safety and good quality of products and equipment to industry, retailers, buyers, vendors and consumers.

ENEC ambition is also to be recognized outside Europe, in other Countries and Regions, as a Scheme that can be trusted granting that the certified electrical products, equipment and components are safe to use, performing efficiently and environmentally friendly.

In our fast-changing world the business in the European and Global Market is also following the same trend, the vision of the elected President and Vice-President is that the ENEC Scheme is designed to attract the European and other Regional industries to choose the value and benefit of third party conformity assessment.
